This week’s show is all about mellow, beautiful music. I do love when the seasons turn…and while it’s a week or two more until autumn is officially here, today was overcast, cool & rainy here in New York. So, I bring you music of the same mood…
Enjoy!

This week’s show is a tour around jazz & Broadway.
We have 3 of the 4 greatest saxophonists ever & 4 numbers from Duke Ellington’s “Such Sweet Thunder.”
Is there a better way to spend time than listening to these geniuses?
I think not…
Enjoy!

This episode is dedicated to Jennifer Rose Mullin – “Isn’t that the most beautiful name in the world?”
All of these songs – in some form or fashion – bring me to her.
Hope they bring you to the loves of your life, too!

This is a pretty special show today. My friends at “Vinyl Me, Please” – the monthly record club to which I belong – inspired me to bring you over an hour of sax music with having selected The Ben Webster Quintet record for vinyl of the month in December. So, you’ll hear two cuts from that record, but you’ll also hear Coleman Hawkins, Lester Young, Sonny Rollins & more.
Also, we have selections from Once – The Musical. Some tunes from the movie, too, as well as a special performance from Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova as “The Swell Season” with an 8th Grade choir backing them up on “Falling Slowly.”
But, we start with a special set of music for a special set of people – Ken & Carmen Corrigan. I just call them Aunt Carmen & Uncle Ken. February 6th 2015 was their 50th wedding anniversary. They love Bobby Darin, so I open with him.
Enjoy!
PS: Below you’ll find the clip of the acceptance speech from Glen & Marketa when they won the Oscar for Best Original Song from “Once.”
